AR1202 – Flashing Power LED
This typically occurs after a power fluctuation to the AR1202 or a nearby lightning strike.
- This may require a qualified electrician. Release the front cover of the AR1202 by removing the seven screws around the front edge of the cover. The cover is hinged on the left side. Leave those four screws on. WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK. There is high voltage inside the chassis boundary of the AR1202.
- Open the cover of the AR1202. The control board is mounted to the back side of the front cover. All voltages to and from the control board are under 28 VAC.
- Disconnect the yellow connector in the bottom right hand corner of the control board.
- While this is disconnected, also disconnect the single red connector on the left side of the control board oriented vertically.
- Wait 15-30 seconds……
- Reconnect the yellow connector. Wait about 10-15 seconds for the AR1202 to boot up. Did the red Power LED come on solid, or is it still flashing? Solid: Go to step 7. Still Flashing: Go to step 8
- Reconnect the red connector on the left side of the control board. Pay particular attention that the connector is lined up properly with the associated pins. Secure the AR1202 by closing the door and reinserting the screws into the door. Perform operational testing of the AR1202. It is possible that some settings are no longer configured properly.
- You may consider repeating this procedure from step 3 for but wait a few minutes once both connectors are disconnected.
- If this does not resolve the issue, then a replacement control board will be required. Contact Lightronics Tech Support for particular ordering information as additional parts may be required for a replacement control board. Most important is to identify if the buttons on the front of the AR1202 control board are square or rectangular. Units with the rectangular buttons will also need a replacement cover for the AR1202. The affected AR1202 control board may be repairable by Lightronics Service Department.
